The United States Postal Service has a history of misprinting stamps. Their approach to solving these problems has changed over the years. After their most recent mistake on millions of dollars worth of Lady Liberty stamps, what will the US Postal Service do this time? Find out more after the break.
It seems that recently the Post Office has taken the approach of releasing the stamps containing the mistakes. The costs of designing new ones and then printing them to replace the flawed stamps is too great. In addition, whenever they destroy the stamps, any that may have escaped and reached the hands of collectors become extremely valuable. Read more here.
